AIDS Mail
Ok, this story takes place back in the early 80’s. Things were a little different back then. For example, email did not exist. Important documents were sent by mail. So when I had a routine test done to check for HIV/AIDS, the results were sent by mail.
Let me add right here that my college roommate had it in for me. Basically she was in LOVE with my boyfriend and was obviously jealous that he was dating me and not her.
Back to the story… my roommate picked up the mail one day before I got home. She knew I was expecting some important medical results any day now. She went through my mail (ummm, federal offense!!?!?) and found the results I’d been waiting for. She opened my mail, saw the results — that I was clean. Whoever filled out the form at the doctor’s office marked the results in pencil… my roommate decided to mess with me (I know she was trying to break my boyfriend and I up) and she CHANGED THE RESULTS, put it back in the envelope as if it had never been opened, and put it with the rest of my unopened mail!!!
I got home and checked my mail. She’s sitting there watching me as I open the envelope… she watches my face turn to a look of horror and shock! It was really a routine test — I didn’t think there would be any problems at all! Any normal person would immediately ‘fess up to such a horrible thing, but no, she let me tell my boyfriend the awful news!!! She watched me cry my eyes out for TWO DAYS before she told me the truth!! Who does that!?! OMG, all these years later, I still can’t believe she did that.
Needless to say, I have no idea what happened to her after college.
Oh yeah, and that boyfriend is now my husband!! Take that!

omg o.0 you poor thing! Your right about it being a federal offense, I would have called the cops or sued her (that’s an insane amount of emotional distress!) so she’d realise that doing something like that is both not nice and illegal.
